Field Day is Tuesday, May 26!
Permission slips have been sent home with students and are due back by May 18. We’re excited to welcome parent volunteers! To help the day run smoothly, parents may attend while volunteering at a station. If you’re interested, please return the volunteer form that was sent home.
As you prepare for the day, please send students dressed in layers, with a water bottle, a hat or sunglasses, and sunscreen.

To enroll a new student, parents and guardians can visit https://westfall-oh.finalforms.com/, create an account, and complete the required information. Please ensure both required proofs of residency are uploaded into the portal.
For current Interdistrict Open Enrollment students, parents and guardians can log in to https://westfall-oh.finalforms.com/ to complete the application and upload the necessary documents.
Please note that applications will not be marked as received at the Board Office until both approved proofs of residency have been successfully uploaded.
The deadline to submit online Interdistrict Open Enrollment applications is May 15, 2026.
Online applications are available now until May 15. Open Enrollment Guidelines and a list of approved Proof of Residency Documents are available directly in the application.

After searching for a book that captured their quirky antics and coming up empty, she decided to write her own titled "Jackie, Shadow, and the Not-So-Perfect Nest." The story highlighted Shadow’s attempts to improve their nest, complete with stick deliveries that don’t always go as planned.
Students followed along with the livestream of the eagles and asked questions about the pair. Students enjoyed the visit so much that during recess, they built their own nests with Lincoln Logs and created drawings of Jackie and Shadow.
I think it’s safe to say Jackie and Shadow have a few more fans after this visit! To watch the livestream of Jackie and Shadow, visit https://www.youtube.com/live/B4-L2nfGcuE?si=-pLbtIOI_9z6y9Gi.

Welcome, Future Mustangs! Our newest kindergarteners officially signed their intent to join our school family during Kindergarten Screenings this month. Marty the Mustang made a special appearance to meet students and pose for photos with our kindergarten teachers. See you in the fall, kindergartners! We are so excited to be part of your educational journey!
Starting with rough sketches and moving into 3D construction using recycled materials, the children combined imagination with ’a touch of magic’ to bring their inventions to life. A major focus was placed on symbolism, challenging students to create visual cues that represent their invention’s purpose.
To wrap up the project, students pitched their visionary designs to a very ‘tough’ investor—a stuffed animal dog—and shared their hard work and environmental passion with their peers.

We are proud to celebrate the following winners:
* In the 2nd–3rd grade category, Kinsley Steward earned 1st Place.
* In the 4th–6th grade category, Brooklyn Steward earned 2nd Place, and Addison Baltzer received an Honorable Mention.
Great work to these students for using their creativity to highlight the importance of conservation!
Each student received a free book to take home, and every guest left with a mini American flag as a keepsake. Thank you to everyone who joined us in celebrating America 250 and helping make the event such a memorable experience.

As part of our ELA program, our first graders have been hard at work creating animal trading cards using Google Slides. Their projects feature a wide range of animals, including box jellyfish, spitting cobras, beaded lizards, and more, showcasing both their creativity and research skills! Great job, Mustangs!
