Kirsten Blankenship (9) Kirsten has shown continuous growth as a person and student. She works hard, is helpful, and is kind to staff. She brightens her teachers' days!
Landen Yang (9) Landen is a hard-working and respectful student who is appreciated by his teachers. He is a student who is good with technology.
Sierra Chalk (10) Sierra leads by her actions. She is polite, respectful and is an overall great student.
Savanna Vulgamore (11) Savanna's teachers had many good things to say about her. She is described as attentive, pleasant, helpful and positive. She is a good example for her classmates. One of her teachers says that she is one of the hardest workers who is always willing to help others in class who are struggling.
Karsten Abraham (12) Karsten has one of the biggest and brightest personalities. She keeps class discussions moving in the right direction and gives good answers.

Westfall Education Foundation is accepting nominations for the 2024 Teacher Appreciation Grant at https://forms.gle/LJScsBn5znSpriEM9.
The Teacher Appreciation Grant will be awarded to three teachers from each school—WES, WMS, and WHS—in the amounts of $500, $300, and $100. The grant funds must be spent on classroom resources that directly impact student needs.
The deadline for entry is April 26, 2024.
With many district roads flooded due to the recent storms, Westfall Local Schools will be operating on a 2-hour delay on Wednesday, April 3. As a result, there will be no AM preschool. We will continue to monitor the road conditions and keep you informed if there are any further schedule changes.
Open enrollment applications and guidelines for the 2024-2025 school year are now available on our district website at https://www.westfall.k12.oh.us/page/enrollment.
Applications for open enrollment are now being accepted. To ensure your application is considered, it must be returned to the district office by May 15, 2024, along with two forms of proof of residency. Please note that applications will not be date marked as received until two approved proofs of residency are submitted.
Applications have been mailed to current open enrolled students. A separate application must be filled out for each student applying for open enrollment.

Several students from Westfall High School competed at the Circleville Rotary International Four-Way Test Speech Competition last Saturday. Among them, Crystal Candlish emerged victorious along with Julia Weller (Logan Elm), clinching the top spots in the competition.

Reminder: With the rare total solar eclipse on Monday, April 8, 2024, casting parts of Ohio into temporary darkness, Westfall Local School District is proactively adjusting its academic calendar for the safety of its students and staff.
As the eclipse coincides with many schools' dismissal times, we understand the potential traffic concerns. Following guidance and consultation with local law enforcement agencies, Westfall Local Schools has decided to cancel school for students and staff on Monday, April 8, 2024, to ensure everyone's safety during this unique celestial event.
We understand this schedule change may impact families' plans for the day. However, our top priority is always the safety and well-being of our students and staff.
