Congratulations to Sharon Link for being presented with Sunny 95 and CME Federal Credit Union Hometown Hero Award! Nominated by co-worker Devon Ryan, Sharon is a true servant of the Westfall community. She works tirelessly as a high school special education teacher, collaborating with others to improve access for her students. She volunteers with the athletics program for fundraising and volunteers before school with the Pickaway County Homeless Shelter. On top of all this, Sharon is integral to the functioning of Westfall CARES, which serves families in the school district that face food insecurity. Thank you for all you do for the community and our #mustangfamily, Sharon! You truly are our "Hometown Hero!"

Job Shadowing has been difficult this year... especially for those students interested in Health Sciences. But that doesn't stop us! This week, junior Skyann Rogers did over an hour's worth of virtual job shadowing with Ms. Lauren Fox, a NICU Registered Nurse at Nationwide Children's Hospital who is also in school to become a nurse practitioner. Skyann was able to ask about college requirements, day-to-day tasks, and the best and worst things about her job. It was a great conversation! Great Job, Skyann!
Last week, junior Brooklyn Carter spent the entire day job shadowing a middle school math teacher! Job Shadowing allows students to step out of their comfort zone and get a better idea of what professionals do each day and whether or not they can see themselves following that career path. We are proud of you, Brooklyn!

The MCORE Foundation and Pickaway County Community Foundation will be providing education and a preventative cardiac screening program for Westfall High School students.
The goal is to educate parents and students on sudden cardiac arrest, family history, signs, and symptoms along with a screening to find underlying heart abnormalities.
Every year in our country over 400,000 people die each year from sudden cardiac arrest and 13,000 of them are healthy children.
This program will provide each participant in grades 9-12 the opportunity to receive a baseline cardiac evaluation at a low cost that can be used with your medical provider. The screenings will be $10 for an EKG and limited Echo for the first 30 registrations.
The first screening day will be Wednesday, April 7, 2021, from 8:00 PM - 4:00 PM, at Westfall High School.
Please click on the following link to reserve your child’s spot today.
