Last month, we welcomed Kathy and Holly to Westfall Middle School as guest speakers in Mrs. Cline's Pathways to Success classes. They are closely connected to Nicole Ratcliff, the author behind Nicole's 28th Chapter. Kathy, Nicole's mother, and Holly, Nicole's best friend, share their journey with others, raising awareness concerning the reality of fentanyl poisoning, mental health challenges, and the disease of addiction.
Nicole's 28th Chapter is a non-profit organization founded on May 4, 2020, nearly a year after Nicole's tragic passing due to fentanyl poisoning. The organization aims to raise awareness to help others watch for warning signs of addiction, how to start a conversation of support, and provide local resources available to save lives from this dangerously growing issue.
Nicole's 28th Chapter is hosting an awareness event on June 1 at 12:00 PM at The Old Barns at Dry Run Farms, 20521 Pherson Pike in Williamsport. The event will feature family fun games, raffles, Narcan training, community support resources, food trucks, and live music. See the flyer below for more information!
