Our Musical Mustangs had a wonderful time caroling at the local nursing homes! We even sang Happy Birthday to Janice, a resident celebrating her upcoming 95th birthday! Thank you, Logan Elm Health Care and Pickaway Manor, for having us this morning!
Our kindergarten classes grabbed their passports and began their Christmas around the world journey today! With stops in France, Italy, Israel, and Australia, our travelers learned how different counties celebrate the Christmas season! From spinning the dreidel to learning about Santa's kangaroo helpers pulling his sleigh in the land down under!

Eight members of the Boys' Varsity Basketball team stopped by Westfall Elementary this morning to read to our students! The impact of having student-athletes in the classroom creates role models that our young Mustangs can aspire to be as they get older.
After completing a unit on financial literacy, our 5th-grade students recently attended JA Biztown of Columbus. In this simulated town, they had the opportunity to work at businesses like Huntington Bank, Donatos, or State Farm Insurance, earning a paycheck and budgeting their income.
This hands-on experience helped students work together in teams, learn how to manage money through their savings and checking accounts, and see the importance of making a profit while avoiding a loss for their company.
Flyin' Flapjacks! Our students had a delicious start to the day, catching Chris Cakes pancakes for breakfast! Many thanks to our terrific staff and student council members who organized the event and helped prep, serve, and clean!
REMINDER: There will be NO SCHOOL Wednesday, November 23, through Friday, November 25, for Thanksgiving Break. School resumes on Monday, November 28. Enjoy your time with family and friends!
Our kindergartners learned the history of the first Thanksgiving, and its purpose is to celebrate the year's harvest and give thanks. As technology has improved, the agricultural production of goods has changed to meet our society's growing and changing needs. Special guests Mark and Marcia Ruff from Ruff Farms talked about how the crops grown in local fields help those around the world in many different ways through food, oils, fuels, and fabrics. Mr. Ruff even brought his combine to the school to show the students first-hand the equipment used to harvest crops. Thank you, Mr. and Mrs. Ruff for sharing your time with us today!
REMINDER: Tomorrow is PJs and Pancakes! Bring in $1 tomorrow, November 22, and wear your pajamas!
